The SSAI organizes the examination and sets the examination objective, the examination format and the evaluation criteria under consideration of the specific characteristics of the discipline.

The qualifying examination for specialist doctors (Facharzt/Fachärztin) in allergy and clinical immunology has 2 parts, an written "multiple choice" examination and an oral examination in your mother which are held at one of the university clinics in turn.

In accordance with Article 23 of the Regulation on postgraduate training WBO only doctors holding a Swiss medical degree (eidgenössisches Arztdiplom) or a foreign medical degree recognised by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health FOPH as equivalent may take the specialist examination. The transition provisions are set out in Art. 69 paragraph 3 of the WBO.
